Phoenix Basketball Club

Welcome to Phoenix Basketball Club. 

Founded in 2003 Phoenix is now the largest basketball club by membership and reach in Northern Ireland :

• We operate our club activities out of Lisburn Racquets Club (our main base), Lough Moss Carryduff, Methodist College and the Newforge Complex in south Belfast. 

• We have 250 players playing in our 17 competitive squads.  

• We run a Phoenix Basketball Academy with over 300 students receiving weekly coached basketball training. 

• We also have social basketball for men and women. 

• Phoenix runs Hard2Guard basketball camps during the school holidays in February, Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas.

•  We  run a number of school outreach projects. 

• We are also partnered with the Cleveland NI Programme delivering basketball to over 7000 schoolchildren each year.  

• We are very active on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Follow us to keep up-todate on everything that we do.

• Phoenix Founder and Chairperson Breda Dick was inducted into the 2025 Irish Basketball Hall Of Fame
